Surf Rental near Hossegor, Without the Hassle
In short
Hossegor is one of Europe’s best-known surf destinations, and most visitors ask the same question before they arrive: where do I get a board? Which board and wetsuit should you rent?
Beginners: start on a foam board
Foam boards are stable, forgiving and safer when you fall. They’re the right choice if you’re learning or haven’t surfed for a while. If you’ve never surfed before, consider a lesson before renting on your own: Seignosse Surf School also runs lessons for children, teens, adults, families and private sessions.Intermediate and advanced surfers: go for a performance board
If you can already take off and ride along the wave, a resin board will give you more speed and control. Since you can switch boards during your rental, you can adapt to the swell rather than being stuck with one shape for the whole week.Wetsuit: full suit or shorty?
Both are available. Ask the team at the hut which one suits the day’s water temperature; it changes over the season. Why Le Penon makes surf rental easier
